About Us

What We Do

Established back in 2011, GSF currently contributes to numerous programs of local organizations and communities. The programs range from assisting in education, charity events, and much more. We do this by gathering mission minded people, equipping them with the right resources, and spreading them out into the world.

Our Mission

Through the foundation, we support mission work, strengthen small churches in need, invest in church planting, and equip next-generation ministries to grow and serve with lasting impact.

Meet Our Founder
Yong O Kim

Yong O Kim is a Christian entrepreneur who began with a small distribution business 38 years ago and grew Eastern Food into a leading full-service distribution company supplying hundreds of institutions and facilities throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Yet he often says that his true life's calling is not business, but evangelism and discipleship. He served for 25 years as the General Secretary of Evangelism Explosion (EE) Korean American Headquarters in North America, and since the pandemic has continued faithfully through Washington-area EE ministry, sharing the Gospel with countless individuals. He believes that the transformation of one life can change the world.

The fruit God allowed through his business became a channel of blessing. He has devoted himself to supporting employee welfare and serving the local community, and from that heart the Good Sower Foundation was established. Through the foundation, he continues to support mission work, small churches in need, church planting, and next-generation ministries. He especially supports Good Spoon, American Wheat Mission, Chosen Generation, various missionaries, financially struggling small churches, and the One Hope Baltimore City church planting ministry - often working quietly behind the scenes to advance the Kingdom of God.

In recognition of his dedication and impact, he received the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award. Today, he continues to live as a sower, faithfully planting seeds of the Gospel for eternal fruit.

Current GSF Programs
